Meet our staff

 Mrs. Boyle brings more than 40 years of teaching and choreography experience, with training in Dayton, New York, and London, including the Rambert School and acceptance into the Royal Ballet School of Teachers. She has performed with regional ballet companies in the U.S. and London and founded five successful dance schools, including Dance Etc. School of the Arts. Mrs. Boyle has served on the Boards of Directors for five ballet companies and is a recipient of ACT’s “Choreographer of the Year” award. She was honored as Virginia Governor’s School Outstanding Dance Educator in multiple years and received the Prince William County Seefeldt Pioneer Award for Lifetime Contributions to the Arts. 

 Danielle DuFóre‑García is a performing artist, dance educator, and special education teacher with more than 30 years of experience. A Dance Etc. alumna, she trained at Oklahoma City University’s Ann Lacy School, the Ailey School in New York, and the Gus Giordano Dance School in Chicago, developing versatility across ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, and modern techniques. Her professional credits include Dreamgirls, Chicago, The King and I, West Side Story, and multiple regional theatre productions. Danielle has choreographed for stage, schools, orchestras, and community arts organizations, creating interdisciplinary works that blend dance and live music. She founded the Different Abilities Dance Program at Forest Park High School and expands inclusive dance education through adaptive classes at Dance Etc. Her community impact includes international work in refugee education in Greece. Danielle holds degrees in Dance and Special Education and has earned the Ann Lacy Distinguished Alumni Award and three Virginia Governor’s Awards for Outstanding Educator.

With a rich and diverse background in the world of performing arts, I bring a wealth of experience to the stage and screen. Having graced commercials, stage plays, and movies, I've honed my craft and developed a deep passion for the art of acting. Alongside my acting journey, I've spent five years sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm by teaching acting here at Dance Etc. The joy I find in both performing and teaching is immeasurable, and I am thrilled to embark on this journey with eager students, nurturing their talents and igniting their love for the dramatic arts. Let's explore the world of acting together!

 Ms. Larissa Henderson is our phenomenal Piano instructor. Ms. Henderson earned her Masters of Music at the Music College of Moscow. She has instructed hundreds of students at all levels from beginner through college for 20 years, with several of those years being at Dance Etc. She also teaches musical theory and performance and is a member of the American College of Musicians. We are so grateful for the time and knowledge that Ms. Larissa pours into her students. Dance Etc.’s thriving Piano program would not exist without her!  

   Michaela began her dance journey at Dance Etc. at age seven, training in jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, and contemporary. She danced on and led her school dance teams, competed at regional events and the Contest of Champions, attended the Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive, and performed internationally in Shanghai and Düsseldorf. Michaela continued her training with the Rutgers University Dance Team and the New Jersey Youth Theatre.  While

completing her bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University in 2017, she taught

ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop in and later returned to Northern Virginia, where she

continued teaching dance and served as an assistant varsity cheerleading coach. A lifelong member of the Dance Etc. family, Michaela has returned to teach after completing a dual master’s degree abroad and is excited to share her love of dance with the next generation. In her free time, she enjoys reading,

volunteering with veterans, spending time with family, and playing with her dogs.

 Born and raised in Woodbridge, Virginia, Ms. Annaliese began dancing at age three and continued my training at Dance Etc. Music and Arts starting at age five, studying tap, ballet, contemporary, and hip hop through my 2019 graduation. At age eleven, Ms. Annaliese performed with a jazz dance company in Ohio and later danced in the Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, D.C., as well as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. Ms. Annaliese has assisted many Dance Etc. teachers and continue to teach and assist at additional studios while pursuing my studies at Northern Virginia Community College. A lifelong member of the Dance Etc. family, Ms. Annaliese is excited to share her love of dance with students who are now in the same place she once was.  

  Ms. Regan is a Dance Etc. alumni graduating in 2014. She studied under Ms. Danielle and Mrs. Boyle. After graduating, she went on to get her dual undergraduate degree in both Communication and Dance Performance. After college, she began pursuing work in arts administration and worked with multiple dance companies on both the administration side and performance side. She has worked closely with Todd Rosenlieb Dance and Governor’s School of the Arts dance department in Norfolk, VA. She has also taught at multiple dance studios helping students hone their craft. Ms. Regan is super excited to be back at her home studio to teach the up and coming talent in the dance world, which she grew up studying and loving.  

  Alice Reid began dancing at the age of 6, first finding her love for dance in ballet and

tap classes. Her love for these styles led her to pursue training in other styles as she got

older, adding jazz, lyrical/contemporary, and theatrical dance classes along the way. At

age 10, Alice began dancing with Dance Etc, where she’d continue to dance until

graduating high school in 2023. Through her love for dance, she picked up an interest in

acting as well and was given the opportunity to choreograph a piece of her own in her

senior year musical, Oklahoma!

Alice went on to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience

from Virginia Tech, where she was able to study human emotion from a scientific

perspective. She believes that studying human emotion is one of the many ways that

neuroscience and artistry intersect. She graduated this past spring with a minor in

Chemistry and plans to use her degree to pursue medicine in the future, continuously

finding ways to intersect her love of science with her love for artistic expression along

the way. Alice has been teaching with Dance Etc for the past two summers while home

from Virginia Tech, and is happy to be back once again, teaching a new generation of

young dancers!

 Sarayah began dancing at Dance Etc. at age seven, starting with ballet before expanding her training to jazz and tap. After graduating high school, she attended Virginia Commonwealth University, dancing for four years on the VCU Gold Rush Dance Team and later performing with two semi‑professional cheer teams. Upon returning to Northern Virginia, she coached both cheer and dance teams and began teaching at Dance Etc., where she has been an instructor since 2011. Sarayah became the studio’s registrar in 2023 and is dedicated to supporting dancers and families while sharing her lifelong love of dance.
